Earth Day 2010

It’s Earth Day Dogwood Creek! This means that you should do something that helps your environment. Start buying produce from your local Farmer’s Market, take shorter showers, even carpool to work with friends! Why do we do it? Why, in order to save our furry friends, foliage, and planet in general.

Go Green Tip of the Day: Opt for Paperless Billing

Want an easy way to go green? Opt for paperless billing. I know that this seems like the obvious choice, but you’d be surprised how many people would rather have a physical copy of their bills in their hands, as well as by the amount of people who don’t even have computers! (Strange thought in this day and age, huh?)

Well, luckily for the environment, paperless billing cuts back on killing millions of trees, as well as cutting back on fossil fuels needed to get those envelopes to and from you every month. You’ll also save money on stamps.

Recycling Bicycles

Is your bike still usable?  If so, there are many bicycle donation programs in your area that could use your bike to sale or use for parts.  Of course, you can always give it away.
